Any ideas or suggestions outside of a pre-roll or vape cartridge? I’m willing to do some work. Not a lot, but some. Yoanna Dear Yoanna: If only advent calendars were more popular in dispensaries. Cannabis serv- ing and sales limits make this a pain in the ass for businesses, though, so weed advent calendars are pretty hard to fi nd in America and nonexistent in Colorado dispensaries, which are banned from selling more than an ounce of fl ower or eight grams of hash to the same customer in a single day. Since you’ve already shown initiative to make your own, though, let’s get started. Seasonally inspired edibles, a half-gram rosin vape cartridge and a pre-roll infused with rosin or bubble hash are all safe bets for each day of stoner gift-giving. Homemade edibles, like Christmas cookies or hot choco- late, usually impress the ladies, as do THC and CBD self-care products like topicals and bath bombs. And for the big day, go all out with an electric dab rig from Dr. Dabber or Puffco, or get a ten-gram novelty joint from Green Sativa dispensary. Dear Stoner: Can marijuana help with IBS? I know that it can help with falling asleep or eating more, but I just want a little stomach relief without getting super stoned. Are there strains or products that do that? Dark White Meat Dear Dark White Meat: There are plenty of ways that cannabis could help with pain and discomfort brought on by irritable bowel syndrome, but it all depends on what you and your body prefer. Those conversations are best suited for someone with a medical degree or hands-on knowledge about the cannabis in front of you, but I will say that smoking and eating weed can help with bloating, infl am- mation and other pains associated with IBS. In fact, a 2016 study at New York University showed that over 90 percent of participants with infl ammatory bowel disease reported improvements after using medical marijuana. The type of strain and edible can make a difference in how your IBS responds, but worry more about a clean product source and reliable dosage numbers. If you’re new to cannabis, then you should notice whether it’s helping or not pretty quickly, and taking one small hit or edible serving at a time helps regulate intoxication.
