Thank you for “Drink Here,” your list of the 100 bars you can’t live without. Many of my favorites were on there, as well as some places I would like to try. After the bad news of the last few years, and the very bad news of the last week, it was refreshing to read about small businesses that are making it despite everything, and places we can all go to celebrate community... whether we drink or not. It is bad enough that you already have so many advertisements for marijuana. This issue was definitely Worstword. Ironic that Freda Poundstone stopped Den- ver from annexing, but it was fi ne for Green- wood Village...until motels in the new areas started letting in those undesirables that should have stayed in Denver! Ramon Maes Denver Thank you for putting a face to homeless- ness. It is too easy to think that we don’t know anyone who is facing this issue, and to ignore it. I am glad that Sue Sanders found people who cared about her...even if the government of Greenwood Village did not. Lisa Peters Denver I was horrifi ed to read about Sue Sand- ers’s negative experiences with Greenwood Village. And I was very touched by Neza Bharucha’s advocacy for the homeless. So I hope and pray that attorney David Lane will vindicate her and extract justice from the city council people who are harassing her and making miserable the lives of the homeless. Neza might be aware that her last name in Hebrew means “blessing.” And she and her family certainly are a great blessing to these suffering people in our communities.
