Would the rosin keep well, and do you think I’d get too acclimated after dabbing the same strain for so long? Almond B. Dear Almond B.: If you’re thinking about spending $300-plus on eight grams of rosin, then it’s fair to say you’ve already acclimated to THC and dabbing. And when you’re fl ush with hash or grass, it takes a lot of discipline not to smoke or share more. While puffi ng the same strain for a month can get boring and impact your tolerance, too, an occasional break or keeping a few other rosin or fl ower varieties around should be enough to keep you balanced. Buying rosin Costco style is obviously good for the budget if you can afford it on the front end, and the hash will keep just fi ne in the fridge. Maybe get two four-gram jars for a nighttime/daytime combo instead of going all out with eight, though, and make sure to sniff and look at what you’re buying fi rst. That’s no small investment. Dear Stoner: How will marijuana reschedul- ing impact veterans? If it’s approved, would I be able to get medical marijuana from the VA? Would my benefi ts still be at risk if I smoked weed? Shawn Dear Shawn: A lot remains to be seen with federally reclassifying cannabis from Sched- ule I to III — including whether it actually happens. President Joe Biden and his admin- istration may have endorsed the process, but it’s already been pushed back to 2025, and Biden will be out of the White House by then. And even under Biden, the DEA has been criticized for delaying the process and giving anti-cannabis groups an unfair platform at an upcoming (and unscheduled) hearing on po- tential rescheduling, while no veterans’ rights group is among the 25 hearing participants. Nobody knows how a Schedule III des- ignation will change cannabis policy across the board, but the Department of Veterans Affairs won’t be jumping to prescribe medi- cal marijuana. VA offi cials have already taken the “more research is needed” approach when asked about rescheduling, so insur- ance won’t cover your cannabis purchases any time soon, either. However, the depart- ment has said that a vet’s cannabis use won’t impact access to VA benefi ts and health care, and that former service members can discuss cannabis use with VA providers. ■ WARNING: Use of Marijuana Concentrate may lead to: 1.
