I’m not talking about two or three grams. I want a dig ol’ bick of a pre-roll — something with an ounce stuffed in there. Even ten grams would do. Queenie Dear Queenie: A pre-roll deserving of a size queen, if you will. I largely avoid pre-rolls and roll my own, but it’s a good question. Most li- quor stores have gargantuan bottles of bubbly, and lord knows I’ve seen enough obscenely large joints at cannabis events. It’s not like there are laws against one-ouncers, either. The daily recreational sales limit at Colo- rado dispensaries is one ounce of fl ower, which is more than enough to stuff into these elephant-dick-sized doinks you seek. Bulk deals for 28 one-gram joints are also easy to fi nd. But novelty-sized joints are too expensive and carry too much weed for most dispensaries to risk wasting, according to the growers I talk to. Made in Xiaolin is the only company I know of making monster dispen- sary pre-rolls in Colorado, with twelve-gram cannagars (two of those grams being rosin) as well as six- and three-gram joints sold at various dispensaries. Dear Stoner: Call them whatever you want, but I need some buzzy sativa strains to keep me going after work in the fall and winter. The darker it gets, the more racy I want the strain to be. Magnus Bluntus Dear Magnus: If cannabis commercialization hadn’t all but killed Haze strains, you’d be in good shape right now. Dispensaries are currently stuck catering to eight-week har- vest schedules, hype strains and customers who obsess over THC potency, though, so racy Hazes and “sativas” as you know them are harder to fi nd than they were seven or eight years ago. A small handful of growers out there are still dabbling in classics like Sour Diesel (Meraki and Single Source), Golden Goat (Apothecary Farms and Natty Rems) and Super Lemon Haze (Verde Natural), but it’s probably easier to look for newer strains and fl avors like Cherry Lime Soda or Red Froot from Green Dot Labs, Lemon Tart Pucker by 710 Labs or Caked Up Cherries from Locol Love. There are many more, but if you walk into a dispensary and ask for a heart-thumping strain by any of the growers I mentioned, you’ll be in good hands. And if you come across any sort of Haze, jump on it. Send questions to [email protected]. WARNING: Use of Marijuana Concentrate may lead to: 1.
