Loved Emily Ferguson’s roundup on the South Park shows. I’ve seen them all. Can’t wait to see what they do with Casa Bonita; it’s only fi tting that Trey Parker and Matt Stone bought that place. Susan McIntyre Denver I went to Circuit City in Denver to buy season two on VHS. Mike Trujillo Denver North Denver is SoDaSoPa. I know, be- cause I live in Kenny’s house. Dave John Denver Missed Water World as Pi Pi’s Splash- town. I was up there a few weeks ago, and they had an airplane fl ying a banner for Pi Pi’s Splashtown around the park. Ben Skigen Lakewood The National Western Stock Show is very briefl y in an early episode; Cartman gets a chicken that wins fi rst place there. The cash register building is prominent in every episode. Pi Pi’s Water Park (Urineworld) is obviously Water World. Hans Watson Aurora I have always loved the local references. Jennie Trudell Del Norte Monte Vista is Hell in one episode, and the Alamosa Juvenile Detention center also ex- ists in “Cartman’s Silly Hate Crime” episode. Al Maes Northglenn Enough about South Park: When is Casa Bonita going to reopen? That will be the greatest show on earth! Hector Parks Denver “KING OF VENUES,” TEAGUE BOHLEN, AUGUST 4 ON THE ROCKS It’s amazing that the only show that didn’t sell out during the Beatles’ 1964 tour was at Red Rocks. Then, six years later, a crazy riot at a Jethro Tull concert ignites for the opposite reason: Too many un-ticketed fans demanding access! I’ll never forget that night. I was one of those few without a ticket who was initially allowed to go in. Back then, there was a rectangular concrete slab pointing toward the sky on the north side of the seating area. I climbed to the top of it. Then the other no-ticket fans started rushing the gates and throwing rocks. With helicopters dropping tear gas on all of us, I’m lucky I didn’t fall off that slab! But I sneezed and dripped tears through the entire concert. So glad things have mellowed out since then. Rod Franklin Centennial “A FEDERAL CASE REDUX,” MARK ANTONATION, AUGUST 4 BOULEVARD OF DRE AMS Having moved here from elsewhere, I ab- solutely love living on Federal. Makes it feel more like home, with authentic options that aren’t whitewashed to oblivion. Grant Gentry Denver I miss Mark Antonation’s series on the restaurants on Federal. Things have changed a lot over the last ten years. Isn’t it time to do it again? Lisa Foster Denver All these iconic places I grew up with before moving here, gone! Many places here that were certainly iconic are gone, gone, gone! Why can’t someone keep the right recipe going anymore? It’s all turn and burn. Pathetic.
