There are plenty of hot times ahead dur- ing Colorado’s coolest season, and we’re unwrapping some surprises this year. Yes, the Mile High Holiday Drone show is returning, with forty nights of amazing shows featuring more than 600 special drones. The Denver City and County Building and Union Station will get lit, as always, and Santa will some- how make it through all that Colfax con- struction to reach the annual Parade of Lights. But because another construction project is starting in Civic Center Park, the Christkindl Market has relocated to the Auraria Campus. That’s where Visit Denver is hosting the Mile High Tree, too. Lonnie Hanzon’s Camp Christmas is also on the move; it will be at the Stanley Marketplace this year. That’s just the start of all the fun we’ve wrapped up in this issue of Unwrapped. In our comprehensive cal- endar of events and con- certs that starts on page 32, you’ll fi nd hundreds of other things to do along the Front Range. There’s action in the mountains, too, where ski areas have new lifts, new bars and new deals. And you’ll be snowed by all the activities off the slopes; see page 12 for details. Ready to toast the sea- son? Try one of the holiday pop-up bars we’re serving up on page X. But don’t get so distracted that you forget the reason for the season: Shopping!
