VIC & OLA’S GRANDMOTHER’S KITCHEN SNAPSHOT OF AN ITALIAN Take a trip to Southern Italy by simply driving out to Market Street at DC Ranch in North Scottsdale. All of your senses will be heightened, from the bossa nova Italian music, to the smell of fresh cooked pasta, to sitting on the patio while sipping a glass of Barolo. The patio is expansive, and truly one of the best in town. The custom-made, Tiffany-style stained-glass window mirrors an Italian cathedral, while its colors reflect an Arizona sunset. Created by local chef Sheila Bryson, Vic & Ola’s is an homage to her grandparents, Victor Belmonte of Sicily and Ola Marie of Calabria, who wed in 1931. As a young girl, she often spent time with her grandmother cooking in the kitchen. Inspired by her heritage of southern Italy, and paying tribute to her grandparents, Chef Bryson wanted to share the dishes she grew up loving. The menu features veal osso bucco with saffron risotto, arancini balls of breaded saffron risotto stuffed with beef and pork, chicken saltimbocca with Fontina cheese, prosciutto, sage, mushrooms, and marsala sauce, and butternut squash ravioli. The wine and beer lists are fully Italian, and the craft cocktails often feature Italian ingredients, like Sicilian Malfy Gin. 20775 N.
