But sometimes, you can weird up your weirdness and go from being weird to “that’s not bad”. I have to say, the redesigned Prius has taken the weird look of the OG hipsters hybrid and made it something kinda cool. Now don’t get me wrong, it’s still a Prius, but it is less goober looking than the previous iterations…. one might even say, looks kinda rad. Now, in true Prius style, the 2023 gets a phenomenal 52 MPG which is the reason you buy a Prius. The 2.0L DOHC 16v VVT-I 4-cylinder engine and hybrid synergy drive system gives you 194 net horsepower. Which doesn’t feel too bad when you’re behind the wheel. Space is a little limited or at least feels that way. The second row is tight for adults and the cargo room is fair but still a little cramped. I had to put the seats down to fit my golf clubs which was a little disappointing. All in all, the new look makes this Prius better and the $37,494 price tag makes the value solid but this is still a Prius…. just better looking. It drives well, looks cool, has plenty of space and the style is solid for the value. The $43,320 price tag is great. The 2.0L Hurricane 4 Engine with ESS delivers an incredible 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. Exquisite! The fuel economy of 21/29 MPG is top notch! So, the Dodge Hornet is a must check out. Now to the weird part….. this mf’er beeps like it is going out of style! Rear tailgate, beep. Lane assist, beep. Turn the vehicle off, beep. Randomly driving for no reason, beep. Now, I know there are some settings you can turn the beeps off but it was comical driving because EVERYONE who rode with me mentioned the beeps. The best beep of all was when the Hornet thought, incorrectly mind you, that I was going to hit the car in front of me and it made CLOWN CAR beeps. Am I having fun with the beeps? Yes.
