BY SHOSHANA LEON S TK, known for its high-energy atmosphere and premium cuts of meat, closed its two-story Scottsdale Waterfront restau- rant this summer. But the elevated steakhouse chain is far from leaving the Valley. The restaurant reopened in Scottsdale a few blocks away in November, and a new location is set to make its downtown Phoenix debut in 2026. “We couldn’t be more excited to bring STK to the heart of downtown Phoenix,” says Manny Hilario, president and CEO of The One Group Hospitality, which operates several STK locations across the globe, as well as other concepts including Benihana and Kona Grill. “Downtown Phoenix is experiencing tremendous growth, from new residential developments and hotels to a thriving convention and event scene,” Hilario says. “Opening downtown lets us serve a wide range of guests — locals, visitors, profes- sionals and groups celebrating life’s moments — in a central and highly acces- sible area.” The downtown Phoenix location of STK will be located on Second Street just north of Jefferson Street, steps away from the Phoenix Suns basketball arena. Plans for the restaurant include indoor-outdoor design with an expansive bar and lounge. There will also be a private dining room with a bowling alley that can accommodate up to 500 guests, ideal for parties and corporate gatherings. “As with every STK, we’ll incorporate menu specials, curated cocktails and design elements inspired by the energy and culture of Phoenix,” Hilario says. “We want it to feel unmistakably STK, yet distinctly connected to the city it calls home.” STK is known for vibrant nightlife and classic steakhouse dishes, including a raw bar and seafood entrees like miso-glazed Chilean sea bass and maple-rubbed salmon. Diners can dress up their steaks, which include dry-aged and Wagyu options, with toppings including lobster tail and jalapeno onion jam, as well as truffle, lobster or Wagyu umami butter and a variety of sauces. STK’s menu also offers caviar, Wagyu sliders, mushroom and truffle tagliatelle, three types of macaroni and cheese and fresh cinnamon sugar doughnuts for dessert with dulce de leche, raspberry and chocolate sauces. Cocktail options at STK include the Strawberry Cobbler with vodka, strawberry and a graham cracker crust and Fade to Blackberry with whiskey, muddled mint and blackberries. “The ambiance is modern, sexy and vibrant with warm lighting, a live DJ and a dining experience that feels as much like a night out as it does a great meal,” Hilario says. STK recently moved from its original Old Town Scottsdale location to the former home of RA Sushi, another One Group Hospitality concept. The restaurant, located on the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and First Street, began welcoming customers in November. “The new location gives us the ability to expand our dining room, elevate our bar and lounge and deliver the complete ‘vibe dining’ experience with premium food, world-class cocktails and a lively soundtrack all in one space designed for our guests,” Hilario says. Hilario says the two Arizona locations are a great fit for STK’s brand and experience. He also doesn’t rule out additional locations in the future. “While we don’t have additional Arizona locations to announce, we’re always looking for high-quality real estate,” Hilario says. “While the market has many great restaurants, STK stands apart by blending elevated cuisine with a vibrant, social atmosphere that resonates with today’s diners.” STK offers a variety of cuts of steak that can be dressed up and paired with delectable sides.
