Goyal, who is based out of Miami, is the founder of Dose, a food and beverage company that creates organic wellness shots and liquid supplements designed to boost liver, skin, and immune health and alleviate muscle soreness,. Dose is currently headquartered in Miami. Although it runs under a small team, the company currently has two active job listings on LinkedIn as of Tuesday, December 3. According to its website, Dose’s organic wellness shots combine clinically researched ingredients to “functionally support a health- ier body.” The company states that it works with a scientific team with decades of experience in naturopathic medicine to ensure each ingre- dient in its products is at the optimal level of quantity. Dose even boldly claims, “One Dose for your liver is equivalent to 17 cold-pressed turmeric shots.” A description on its main website contin- ues, “The ingredients in each shot are com- bined in the optimal dosages to benefit the liver, skin, immune system, or muscles. Work- ing with a scientific team with decades of ex- perience in naturopathic medicine, we are setting a new standard for how better-for-you products deliver functional benefits.” Although their claims aren’t specifically backed on the website (references and links are backing their claims), the company lists its “Scientific Advisors” as Dr. Ghanshyam Patel, the head scientist of Tirupati Research, Kiran Bhupathiraju, CEO of Laila Nutraceuticals, and Dr. Ramesh Garg, its toxicology consultant. Dose was formulated by the experts at Tir- upati Research Group based out of India. Goyal founded Dose in honor of his grand- father who struggled with cholesterol and liver issues. After immigrating from India, Goyal at- tended college at Michigan State University where he received a B.A./B.S. degree. He then attended law school at the University of La Verne, a private university north of Chino Hills in California. Upon graduating, he made the move to pursue entrepreneurship and was especially inspired when he realized he could get more efficacious ingredients for people with health needs through a simple daily shot. He then moved to sunny Miami, Florida, where he has moved the headquarters of Dose. Today, his glass-bottled shots filled with zinc, elderberry, and ginger are sold on Amazon, at Sprouts, and at other health- conscious retail locations, including 1 Hotels. NICOLE LOPEZ-ALVAR ▼ WYNWOOD VEZA SUR BREWERY’S TEMPORARY CLOSURE: WHAT TO KNOW Wynwood’s Veza Sur Brewing Co. brewery is getting an upgrade and will soon have a brand-new look, aesthetic, and name. On Saturday, December 14, Miami will of- ficially meet Casa La Rubia, the newly re- modeled and rebranded Veza Sur Brewing Co. in the heart of Wynwood. Located at 55 NW 25th St., the longtime Mi- ami brewery will temporarily close on Monday, December 9, to undergo renovations and will reopen its doors and welcome patrons with a holiday party on December 14. At the party, the brewery will offer $5 La Rubia 16-ounce pints, bites, and a variety of activities and giveaways to celebrate its grand opening day. Wynwood Brewing Company, Miami’s first craft beer production brewery founded in 2013, closed its original location at 565 NW 24th St. back in February due to its merger with its sis- ter brewery, Veza Sur Brewing Co., which was conveniently located just down the street. Once it closed down, the brewery revealed via an Instagram post that it would focus its efforts on expanding its renowned La Rubia blonde ale, while continuing to grow its sig- nature brews like Father Francisco and Pops Porter — all at Veza Sur. Back in 2013, the blonde ale quickly be- came a fan favorite and Wynwood Brewing’s flagship beer. Now, the new name will reflect its notoriety and prowess in Miami’s beer scene. “We are thrilled to give La Rubia a per- manent home in the heart of Miami, where it truly belongs. La Rubia is not just a beer; it embodies the spirit of our city and is a cele- bration of our vibrant community,” says Me- gan Ruiz-Necuze, commercial director for Casa La Rubia. “We look forward to welcom- ing everyone to experience the warmth and culture that Casa La Rubia represents.” Casa La Rubia will represent the natural evolution of the strategic partnership be- tween two of Miami’s craft breweries — Wyn- wood Brewing and Veza Sur Brewing Co. The prime location, with indoor and out- door spaces, will offer a diverse beer portfolio of Wynwood Brewing Co. and Veza Sur Brewing Co. favorites, and, of course, La Ru- bia. Therefore, fans need not fret — Wyn- wood Brewing and Veza Sur beers will continue being sold as usual. The lineup will feature iconic, legacy beers that helped define Wynwood, like the Pops Porter, Father Francisco, and La Rubia, which will continue to be brewed on site. Plus, Casa La Rubia will reintroduce special edition brews from both Wynwood and Veza Sur, cre- ating a unique blend of the two brands to en- hance the consumer experience. Casa La Rubia will feature programming authentic to Miami and its diverse Latin com- munity, including salsa dancing nights, fútbol watch parties, Miami Heat games, and a pig roast during the holidays. Casa La Rubia hopes to embody the heart of authentic Mi- ami culture. Casa La Rubia. 55 NW 25th St., Miami; veza- sur.com. Veza Sur Brewing Co. to close on Monday, December 9.
