Following each re- lease, the brews will become available in more than 20 states, allowing customers to enjoy a delicious craft beer and contribute to a noble cause. As the Center for Great Apes celebrates its 30th anniversary, Montenegro says the cause is much bigger than just the two parties and a way for the community to come together for a good cause. “Our goal is to garner substantial support from our local community and encourage our customers to view these brews as more than just beer,” sums up Montenegro. “We aim to foster a sense of awareness and conscious- ness surrounding the cause, supporting the sanctuary and highlighting the importance of treating all animals with respect and care.” Tripping Animals. 2685 NW 105th Ave., Doral; 305-646-1349; trippinganimals.com. RYAN YOUSEFI ▼ DOWNTOWN HELL’S KITCHEN OPENS AT MET SQUARE Celebrity chef and restaurateur Gordon Ramsay opened the Miami Hell’s Kitchen last month. The restaurant, inspired by his signature dishes from his hit culinary competition TV show Hell’s Kitchen, started welcoming din- ers on September 23 and is Ramsay’s first South Florida establishment. Located at 333 Biscayne Blvd. Way, the res- taurant sits on the north bank of the Miami River in downtown Miami’s Met Square Com- plex, part of the final phase of the Metropolitan Miami mixed-use development. The complex includes a Silverspot Cinema and more than 40,000 square feet of retail and dining in addi- tion to 188 luxury apartments, a museum pay- ing tribute to the Tequesta tribe, and a hotel. The massive, two-story Hell’s Kitchen res- taurant is a sprawling space that includes a ground-floor patio, terrace, open kitchen, two bars, two chef’s tables, and multiple private dining rooms. Those who like to watch the line will be captivated by the open kitchen, designed as the focal point of the restaurant with a combina- tion of dramatic lighting and sleek, white mar- ble counters. Even diners seated on the second floor are able to watch the chefs at work via a special viewing area above the kitchen. The Hell’s Kitchen menu serves Ramsay’s signature classics, most notably his beef Wel- lington, crispy skin salmon, and sticky toffee pudding, alongside Miami-only dishes like steamed mussels with Spanish chorizo in a tomato saffron broth and churros served with cinnamon sugar, Mexican chocolate sauce, and dulce de leche ice cream. Diners can opt for a three-course, prix- fixe menu with curated wine pairings that highlight fan-favorite dishes. Vegetarian and vegan options are offered, including a vegan tomato saffron risotto and pan-seared tofu “scallops.” At the bar, expect to find classic and signa- ture cocktails ranging from a traditional ne- groni and old-fashioned to the restaurant’s innovative “Smoke on the Water,” served in a smoke-filled lantern. (Pro tip: order the “Notes from Gordon,” a drink that arrives with a personalized message from Ramsay himself.) Ramsay shared in a press release that Mi- ami feels like the perfect fit for the show-in- spired establishment with seven U.S. locations, including Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and Lake Tahoe. “Miami is such a special place,” Ramsay said. “The culture, the food, and the people are unmatched. I’ve been a huge fan of the city for so many years and couldn’t be more excited to officially open a restaurant here.” In 2019, Ramsay inked a deal with Lion Capital to expand his restaurant concepts across the U.S. The company currently has more than a dozen restaurants, including Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, Gordon Ram- say Burger, Gordon Ramsay Street Pizza, and Gordon Ramsay Steak from Las Vegas and Chicago to Boston, Orlando, Baltimore, and Kansas City.
