We’re Real # 3 (These Walls)” promises to be a meditative performance that weaves identity, history, and culture. For her performance, Ehlers employs hair as a simple yet powerful gesture. Connected to the museum’s terrace by long cornrows, the performers move back and forth slowly but insistently. Blending in with the hanging gardens, the hair creates a poetic metaphor for the relationship between culture and nature. 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Pérez Art Museum Miami, 1103 Biscayne Blvd., Miami; 305-375-3000; pamm.org.
