Prince Street Pizza, famed for its spicy, thick-crust square pies, is finally landing a permanent spot on Lincoln Road. Also re- turning is the iconic Hereford Grill, now under Da Silva Hospitality, promising open- fire Argentine-inspired steaks. Midtown’s Amavi is set to debut with a lively vibe, while Eataly Aventura will finally open its massive Italian marketplace on June 12, complete with restaurants, wine shops, and a cooking school. Over in Coconut Grove, Chop Steakhouse & Bar is launching its first U.S. outpost at Co- coWalk, bringing premium steaks and sea- food in a polished setting. These much-anticipated debuts, along with a few more under-the-radar openings, are set to make Miami one of the hottest dining cities to watch this summer. Here are seven restaurant openings gener- ating the most buzz. Amavi in Midtown (Late June) Manhattan’s popular Mediterranean restau- rant expands to Miami this June, taking over a 4,000-square-foot space at 3252 NE First Ave. The concept showcases cuisine from Greece, North Africa, and the Aegean Coast through dishes like lamb chops, kofta skew- ers, and seasonal seafood. Executive chefs Alp Karataslioglu and Tolga Mutlu oversee the kitchen, while the restaurant’s design boasts both indoor and outdoor dining. Chop Steakhouse & Bar in Coconut Grove (June) The popular Canadian steakhouse chain opens its first American location at 3015 Grand Ave. this June. Eataly Aventura (June 12) The Italian marketplace giant finally arrives in Florida on Thursday, June 12, at 3 p.m., oc- cupying 30,000 square feet across three levels at Aventura Mall. The location combines multiple dining concepts under one roof, in- cluding La Pizza & La Pasta with seating for 300 guests and Il Pastaio, where visitors can observe pasta production. Quick-service op- tions range from Lavazza coffee to artisanal gelato, while the retail section stocks im- ported Italian ingredients and specialty items. A dedicated wine area features selec- tions from Italy’s 20 wine regions, including rare bottles in a climate-controlled room. Owner Erasmo Da Silva has reimagined the restau- rant around open-fire cooking, with his culi- nary team studying methods at Argentina’s Michelin-recognized Corte Comedor. Pari Pari in Wynwood (August) Three friends from Paris are behind this intimate 25-seat handroll concept opening in Wynwood this August. The restaurant partners with Chef Yasu Tanaka to create a casual Japanese dining experience centered on fresh handrolls. The menu balances simplicity with quality, featuring warm rice, crisp nori, and premium fish in a relaxed counter- service format. Prince Street Pizza in South Beach (??) Following the success of its Miami pop-up in Wynwood, where it still operates a ghost kitchen via UberEats, the renowned NYC pizzeria Prince Street Pizza is bringing its fa- mous Sicilian-style slices and Neapolitan-in- spired pies to Lincoln Road. Since debuting in New York City in 2012, the brand has ex- panded to locations in New York City, To- ronto, Chicago, Las Vegas, and across Southern California. Vice City Pizza at Bar Bella in South Miami (June 13) Detroit-style pizza specialist Vice City Pizza launches a summer residency at Bar Bella starting June 13 and continuing through September 30. Chef Carlos Estarita, who previously worked at Zuma Miami and Michy’s, creates square pies using a two-day fermentation process for the dough. The collaboration also features Bar Bella’s Spanish- influenced small plates, including croquetas and Calabrian chili wings, served from the back bar area known as Abi Maria.
