With a new name, reimagined menu, and more live entertainment, Eddie & Vinny’s will open on Monday, March 17, marking almost a year since Tavolino’s closure. Located at 10181 W. Sample Rd., this 230- seat, indoor-outdoor restaurant will boast a completely transformed Mediterranean-in- spired design. Diners will enjoy views of the bustling kitchen from a spacious, airy dining room, as well as a sleek new bar and lounge, complete with personal wine lockers. Il Tavolino Della Notte, which first opened in 2007, quickly became a local favorite, known for its soul-satisfying Italian cuisine, extensive cocktail list, and vibrant lounge with comedy and live music. Eddie Pozzuoli Jr. and his wife Christina, who had been part of Tavolino’s success since 2012, decided to sell the restaurant, though the Pozzuoli fam- ily retained the property. The couple is known for their work at Corvina Seafood Grill and Prezzo Restaurants under Pozzuoli Hospitality Management, the couple’s restau- rant group. Now, the couple is bringing a fresh vision to the space, while paying homage to its rich legacy. “This is a family business if ever there was one,” Eddie Pozzuoli Jr. says. “To be actively working to bring that space back to life and introduce something new and exciting to the community is a dream come true.” While the look may be new, the flavors re- main a cornerstone of the experience. Eddie & Vinny’s will feature a mix of Italian classics and innovative dishes inspired by the Italian seaside. The menu will be led by award-win- ning chef Jeff Tunks, who previously collabo- rated with the Pozzuolis on their Corvina concept, alongside David Garcia, corporate executive chef for Prezzo Restaurants. With an emphasis on seasonal, fresh in- gredients, the menu will include standout dishes such as blue crab bruschetta, a melt- in-your-mouth wagyu meatball, and char- grilled octopus. Guests can also enjoy a variety of housemade pastas, including spicy rigatoni vodka, mafaldine cacio e pepe, and lasagna “Rimballo Reramo,” an Abruzzo- style layered crepe lasagna. As for entrées, expect everything from steaks to seafood with dishes like local yel- lowtail livornese with olives, capers, tomato, and Pinot Grigio, as well as a Tuscan cowboy ribeye steak with rosemary- and balsamic- glazed cipollini onions, and classics like chicken parmigiana. Freshly made desserts, an Italian-influ- enced wine list, and a lineup of classic and creative cocktails will also be available. Eddie & Vinny’s Coastal Italian. 10181 W. Yelp has released its annual list of Top 100 U.S. Restaurants for 2025, and out of the bazillion businesses to choose from across the region, it wasn’t the flashiest spots that got the attention and high praises of Yelp users — it was the old-school mom-and-pop shops that made the most impact. Coming in ninth on the list is none other than Amy’s French Bakery & Bistro in Pom- pano Beach, Florida, followed by Twice Re- moved in Fort Lauderdale, landing spot no. 52 on the list.
