This expansion marks a big milestone for the Sunshine State, which, in just four years of being covered by Michelin, will have a state- wide restaurant selection. RACHEL COSTA ▼ SOUTH FLORIDA H&H BAGELS TO OPEN FIVE MIAMI LOCATIONS After causing a frenzy in Boca Raton with lines out the door, famed New York City bagel shop H&H Bagels is headed to South Florida where it will open five locations in Miami. Founded in 1972, the legendary fresh ba- gels shipped directly from New York City will finally be available down in Miami, where au- thentic New York bagel lovers will be in for a treat. Not only will the longtime bagel shop open across Miami, but the bagel shop also plans to open in West Palm Beach, Tampa, Fort Lau- derdale, Orlando, Jacksonville, Delray Beach, Palm Beach Gardens, and Boyn- ton Beach within the next few years. The news of the Miami openings comes after H&H Bagels opened in Boca Raton this past fall. What makes H&H Bagels so special is that their bagels aren’t “New York-style” — they’re New York bagels made in New York. The ba- gels that will be sold in Miami will be the ex- act bagels sold in Manhattan. The menu at each location in Miami will carry the same beloved New York City menu, including the classic bacon, egg, and cheese and the Nova salmon with “the Works.” Plus, classic spread sandwiches will be available, including a variety of cream cheese flavors such as scallion, jalapeño, vegetable, walnut raisin, and strawberry. And, of course, all of the classic bagel options will be available, in- cluding plain, everything, sesame, cinnamon raisin, jalapeño cheddar, whole wheat, egg, pumpernickel, and more. Speciality sandwiches are also included on the menu, including the horseradish roast beef made with top-round roast beef, Swiss cheese, pickled onion, and horseradish aioli, as well as the “Avocado Deluxe” made with fresh avocado, tomato, cucumbers, every- thing seeds, and mayo. Founded in 1972 on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, H&H Bagels has become syn- onymous with the quintessential New York City bagel, earning them appearances on shows such as Sex and the City and Seinfeld. With seven locations across the New York City area and its first franchise location in Boca, H&H Bagels has maintained its original recipe and artisanal water bagel method to make their bagels for more than 50 years.
