BY NATASHA YEE A fter New Times reported Fri- day morning on a lawsuit filed January 22 in the Southern District of Florida alleging the Alexander brothers used a vast network, including a Miami Beach night- club, to sexually assault young women, the brothers once again drew negative attention. A separate release now links them to a much more powerful group. The three brothers, Alon, Oren, and Tal, who are currently facing federal sex trafficking charges in New York, are named in the Epstein files. On Friday, the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) released a trove of Epstein documents: 3.5 million pages in compliance with the Epstein Files Transparency Act. New Times identified at least three different in- stances across two files that name the Alex- ander brothers. In one docu- ment, which no longer exists on the DOJ’s website since it was posted this morn- ing, the Child Ex- ploitation Human Trafficking Task Force, a branch of the Federal Bu- reau of Investiga- tion (FBI), appears to sum- marize com- plaints made against notable individuals, including President Donald Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Jeffrey Epstein, Ghis- laine Maxwell...and the Alexander brothers. Attorneys for the Alexander brothers had not returned New Times’ multiple phone re- quests for comment by the time of publication. The complaint describes a 16-year-old girl who, “while modeling,” went to eight parties at Epstein’s New York residence and reported that she was sexually assaulted by Epstein on one of those occasions. “On another occasion, two twin brothers. Allen [sic] and Oren, lured caller and her friend upstairs but they escaped back down- stairs. Caller stated Oren raped her best friend and a third brother, Tal, raped a 14 year old girl named [name redacted]. Caller named other individuals involved in ‘big orgy parties’ with her, other young girls, and older Victoria’s Secret models, including Bill Clin- ton and Donald Trump.” The list of complaints appears to have been sent in response to another email. “Are you able to send me [redacted] full ntoc re- port?” the email, sent to a Child Exploitation Human Trafficking Task Force special agent, reads. “We need to interview regarding the Alexander brother allegations.” (NTOC ap- pears to refer to the FBI’s National Threat Operations Center, which fields phone calls and electronic tips from the public.) In an email contained in a separate docu- ment with the subject title “Alexander Broth- ers,” and an attachment named “Hamptons2009contacts-1.docx,” Evan Tor- gan, a personal injury lawyer in New York City, writes to an unknown recipient, “This is a memo from [name the DOJ asked New Times to redact] detailing relevant contacts from that evening and beyond that she thought might be helpful. We have a few new clients that are in- terested in speaking with you.” Torgan had not returned a New Times call requesting comment at the time of publica- tion. During a phone call with New Times, a spokesperson for the DOJ’s Office of Public Affairs declined to comment, citing an ongo- ing federal trial in the Southern District of New York. Ocner / Getty Images ▼ MIAMI NO SURPRISES MIAMI DRIVERS ARE RANKED THE MOST AGGRESSIVE, RUDEST, AND ANNOYING IN U.S. BY B. SCOTT MCLENDON W ith armed, aggressive motorists darting through Miami with reckless abandon, driving a vehicle here of- ten feels as treacherous as sailing through the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy in the early 18th century. Yes, braving the Miami streets is a fool’s errand, and a new study by legal ex- perts revealing we have the rudest, most aggres- sive, annoying, and entitled drivers of any metro in the U.S. could explain why. Los Angeles-based Lemon Law Experts sur- veyed residents in the 40 most populous U.S. cit- ies, asking questions about the behaviors they encounter on their streets in a noble effort to find the most annoying drivers in the nation. Unfortu- nately yet predictably, Miami is the clear front- runner for the dubious honor. “Forgetting to signal to switch lanes or turn off your high beams are natural mistakes that most drivers have made at least once. What makes these behaviors truly heinous is when they are done routinely and intentionally,” attor- ney and managing partner of Lemon Law Ex- perts Jessica Anvar wrote in the study. “When analyzing these habits across the country, we found it’s Miami that leads the way with an annoying driver score of 98.50 out of 100,” she wrote in the study. “When asked how annoying drivers are in their city, 86 percent of Miami residents re- sponded with a seven or higher on a scale of zero to 10, with 10 representing extremely annoy- ing.” So profound is the annoying repu- tation of Miami driv- ers that the gap between first and second (6.3 points) is greater than the difference between second and seventh (6 points). Some of the annoying behaviors pointed out in the survey were using a cell phone, cutting across lanes without signaling (South Floridians’ favorite pastime), tailgating, speeding on major roads, waiting until the last second to merge, speeding on residential streets, not letting others merge, loud music, not moving to the right for faster cars to pass, and rolling through stop signs. But “most annoying drivers” was far from the only title Miami claimed in the study. The Magic City may have to add a shelf to its unwanted ti- tles trophy cabinet after claiming No. 1 in catego- ries like rudest drivers, most entitled drivers, and most obnoxious parkers. Miami came in close second for most reckless drivers and fifth for most distracted.
