Billy Bob’s Texas is one of the most well-known names in live music, and for good reason. This Fort Worth ven- ue, near and dear to the Stockyards, boasts a Texas-size dance floor, bull-riding, and it hosts the biggest names in country, Americana, and classic rock. The Creative Arts Center of Dallas is the largest com- munity-based visual arts education program in Dallas and offers ongoing classes for ages 15 and up in tradition- al fine arts, contemporary art and fine crafts. This sum- mer, Creative Arts Center offers teen programs, includ- ing metal sculpture, jewelry fabrication, a mural project, woodturning and scroll; a resin jewelry workshop; and an abstract painting workshop. Regular programming in- cludes courses and labs led by teaching artists in ceram- ics, clay sculpture, drawing, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography and more. The center will also exhibit watercolors by Kay Byfield, Sarah Janece and students in “Splashing Around: Creating Joy with Water- color” through June 27. The Dallas Comedy Club in Deep Ellum develops and showcases long- and short-form improv, stand-up, sketch and storytelling comedy at their Elm Street headquarters.
