Enjoy your meal with the Dallas skyline as a back- drop and a dessert menu that boasts sweets, table- side experiences (flambé, anyone?), and port wine. Shady’s Burgers and BrewHaha is a gourmet burger experience in a casual, family-friendly atmo- sphere. Get a load of the six-layer Holy Guacamole burger, or the New Pig on the Block, topped with pulled pork. There’s a plant-based burger for the veggie-inclined, plus loaded salads, loaded appe- tizers (see the chicken nachos), and even loaded milkshakes (though they make non-alcoholic ver- sions, too). St. Pete’s Dancing Marlin is an old favorite: we find ourselves drawn to this Deep Ellum mainstay for the nostalgia, and for the generous servings. Make the Dancing Tuna Steak a new favorite—or build the pasta dish of your dreams off their pick-a-pasta menu. Of course, St. Pete’s bar is central to the ex- perience, so order up a bucket of beers or a pitcher of sangria and make some new friends. Sushi Marquee is a dining and entertainment mash- up at Frisco’s The Star; you might be focused on the sushi you’re coveting, but you’re going to get more than you ever expected here. It’s massive—near- ly 5000 square feet—and beautiful. And it’s got a lot going on: from the menu, which encompasses pop culture references, Japanese cuisine, and spe- cialty cocktails galore; to the murals throughout the restaurant; and the televisions placed throughout the dining area. It’s fun, it’s unique, and important- ly—it’s delicious. When someone mentions brunch in Dallas, chanc- es are that Terilli’s is gonna be brought up. And we could talk about the crab cakes benedict or the steak and gorgonzola omelet for an unreason- able amount of time, but what we really yearn for are those killer brunch libations. The Terilli’s house bloody mary is an absolute revelation—and rose- mary grapefruit mimosa is perfection. You won’t be able to get it out of your mind. You know those weekends when you’ve maybe indulged a little too much and your stomach de- mands something specific? Wava Halal Grill is happy to be of service. With multiple locations, the original being on Lower Greenville, this gyro and Mediterranean spot is one of the closest things to NYC “late-night bites” you’ll find in the DFW area.
