Although this Dallas staple tends to attract an attractive crowd, you may not be all that disappointed when the sun rises. Whether you like ‘em old, hot, short or charming, Cosmo’s is probably where you’ll find them. The music is never too loud, the patio has dim romantic lighting and there’s no single stall bathroom so you’re forced to take your affairs elsewhere. BEST PLACE TO FIND YOUR LEATHER DADDY The Dallas Eagle 525 S. Riverfront Blvd., Dallas thedallaseagle.com If chains and whips excite you, the leather daddy of your dreams is likely waiting for you (but not for too long, pup) at The Dallas Eagle. It’s kind of isolated over on Riverfront Blvd. near Fuel City, but most good things are worth making a journey for. At The Ea- gle, those good things include special events like a weekly underwear happy hour, femme night and the packed-out trash disco. If you’re new to leather life, there’s a small shop located within the back of the bar where you can strap in with your own high-quality harness. Happy hunting! BEST GOTH NIGHT JR’s Bar & Grill 3923 Cedar Springs Rd., Dallas jrsdallas.com Oak Lawn is known for being covered in rainbows, but every second Wednesday of the month, it gets gloomy for Goth Night at JR’s. Hosted by May May Graves, one of the best (and spookiest) drag queens in Dallas, this pop-up party rotates through themes like Black Mass and Vampires vs. Were- wolves. You’ll hear deep cuts from Bauhaus and Siouxsie & The Banshees, but you’ll also hear the blood-curdling shrieks during the scream queen contest. Before the night ends, you can commemorate your sorrows with a flash tattoo of a stitched-up heart. BEST DRAG QUEEN Aaron Rey instagram.com/aaronrey1992 If Aaron Rey is on the flyer, get ready to be gagged. Her flips, splits (we once watched her literally run into a leaping splits onto the middle of the dance floor), pole-danc- ing and lip-syncing prowess steal every show she’s a part of. And she does it all while in 5-inch stilettos, mind you. She also makes a lot of her own looks, which range from rhinestoned leather bunny to Ariana Grande if she was a K-pop superhero. Suf- fice to say, she’s the full-package. As part of the cast of the Round-Up’s Saloon Girls, you can find her in action at the bar’s weekly shows like Drag Roulette on Mondays, and the Thursday night Lip Sync Battle. Or, if you want to share a stage with her – no wig required — she also hosts karaoke at Round-Up on Saturdays, which was named our Best Karaoke Spot for last year’s Best of Dallas honors. BEST DRAG KING Logan Liquer instagram.com/Loganliqueur Known as “The Cock, the Tail and the Tease,” Logan Liquer lives up to every mon- iker with his versatile repertoire of perfor- mance styles. One night he might be doing a number inspired by “Heated Rivalry,” and another you might stumble onto one of his sensual burlesque sets for the Sleazy Sue’s show on the Cedar Springs Strip. If he’s holding court on a stage around town, we’re more than happy to be among his nobles.
