Did we forget to mention those rosemary potatoes? BEST LATE NIGHT GRUB Greenville Avenue Pizza Co. 1923 Greenville Ave., Dallas gapc.co Picture this: you’re walking out of the Sin- gle Wide or the Alamo Club on Lowest Greenville after a martini or six. Normally, bar drags are known for less-than-desir- able odors radiating from god knows what. Greenville is no exception. If you’re in the right spot on the sidewalk, however, a sweet scent of fresh pies radiates from GAPCO’s flagship all the way until 3 a.m. By that time, most patrons have long gone home, which works great with the brand’s delivery service. And while they can get up there, just like any great late-night grub, GAPCO’s prices are a problem for the morning. BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO La Victoria 1605 N. Haskell Ave. @lavictoriarestaurantdallas Breakfast burritos are a lost art in much of eastern Texas. For homesick West Texans and California transplants, the Old East Dal- las stalwart offers a bright spot in a sea of ta- cos. Family-owned La Victoria has made a name for itself for over two decades with heaping, nearly foot-long burritos jammed with an array of breakfast fillings and grilled just right on the flat-top. Our pick is the Zach Attack, which comes with bacon, po- tato, eggs, beans, cheese and jalapeño. BEST BISTRO Little Blue Bistro 320 W. Eighth St., Dallas littlebluebistro.com The Little Blue Bistro that could, indeed. It’s a small, intimate space tucked into a re- stored house in the heart of Bishop Arts, with a succinct menu that leaves more room for conversation than browsing. To start, we recommend Olivia Genthje’s stracciatella, which comes with cherry tomatoes, house- made focaccia bread and a splash of smooth olive oil. Next, Little Blue’s wagyu pot roast is the heavyweight, although blue prawns served with herb butter certainly warrants consideration. BEST BAKERY La Casita Bakeshop Multiple Locations lacasitabakeshop.com Co-owned by Maricsa Trejo, her husband Alex Henderson and managing partner Brianna Short, La Casita Bakeshop has ex- panded to four locations across North Texas. Trejo was also named a James Beard Award national finalist for outstanding bakery in 2024 and has appeared on the Food Network’s Halloween Baking Cham- pionship. The awards and recognitions speak for themselves, as do La Casita’s baked goods. La Casita boasts expertly lam- inated croissants, in addition to perfectly baked cookies and weekend favorites like the kouign-amann, a flaky, caramel tear- apart originating in Brittany. Make sure to stay updated on La Casita’s social media pages as Trejo is constantly adding must- try seasonal features. BEST SPORTS BAR Bar W 2926 Maple Ave., Dallas @barwdallastexas There’s no better place to watch the Stars catch a W. Located in Uptown, the expansive sports bar has some of the largest screens in Dallas, including a massive, theatre-style projector display on its expansive patio.
